My journey began with curiosity and dedication to understanding the true value of luxury handbags. By dissecting countless high-end bags, I discovered that many fall short of their hefty price tags, revealing that the true cost often lies in brand prestige rather than exceptional craftsmanship. This journey of discovery has shaped our mission to offer genuine luxury that stands up to scrutiny.
SENSORY EXPERIENCE
Leather has an inherent allure that goes beyond its visual appeal. As a product of nature, leather embodies a chaotic beauty that only nature can produce. When I touch high-quality leather, I sense a vibrant energy that evokes positive emotions. The earthy, rich aroma of premium leather, reminiscent of coffee and other natural scents, also deeply appeals to me. These sensory experiences are what make leather truly special.
However, many people have lost or been made to forget this connection. This benefits brands, as it allows them to sell expensive products based on marketing rather than genuine quality. My goal is to help people rediscover the sensory allure of leather and understand its true value.
ETHICAL SOURCING AND SUSTAINABILITY
My commitment to ethical production and sustainability is unwavering. I source leather from tanneries certified by the Leather Working Group (LWG) for their environmental practices. I personally visit each tannery to ensure they meet my high standards. This dedication extends to my workshops, where fair treatment and pay for all craftsmen are prioritized. My production, now based in Ubrique, Spain, is rooted in a tradition of exceptional leather craftsmanship.

INNOVATIVE TESTING METHODS
To guarantee the quality of my leather, I employ innovative testing methods developed through my curiosity and need for transparency. Two key tests I use are the ash test and the acetone test. These testing methods ensure that my products meet the highest standards of excellence, providing transparency and authenticity.
The Ash Test
The ash test is a basic yet effective method to verify if leather is vegetable-tanned. This technique involves burning a small piece of leather to observe the ash it produces. This test, while known within the industry, is less familiar to the general public. By sharing this test, I aim to educate consumers on identifying high-quality, environmentally friendly leather.
The Acetone Test
The acetone test is another innovative method I employ to assess the true quality of leather. This test involves applying acetone to the leather surface to remove any finish or coating. Many luxury brands use heavy finishes to give leather a uniform appearance, which can mask the material's true quality. By removing the finish, I can examine the leather's natural characteristics, such as grain and texture. This test helps reveal whether the leather used in a product is of high quality or if the finish is hiding imperfections.
By meticulously dissecting numerous high-end handbags, I uncovered the secrets of their construction and quality.
This journey revealed that many luxury items are overpriced, relying more on branding than genuine craftsmanship.
Through this process, I developed a deep understanding of what defines a high-quality leather product. I identified five key pillars: leather quality, hardware, design, structure, and craftsmanship. Brands like Hermès, Loewe, and Bottega Veneta consistently meet these standards, serving as inspirations.
