EXPERIMENT 002: Leather Belongs on Your Desk
This is a continuation of the conversation we started with Poşet: leather is not luxury. It's a byproduct of the meat industry, and it deserves a better second life than being reserved for status objects.
Experiment 001 gave us a strong signal: people want that same conversation applied to more of daily life. So we asked: what if we started with the surfaces you touch for hours every day? Your desk. Your keyboard. Your mouse. Your coffee cup.
Most desk setups lean on plastic, vinyl mats, synthetic pads, materials that don't age and don't belong anywhere near your hands for eight hours a day. This set proposes something else: a natural, more responsible upgrade using real river buffalo leather, worked simply and left mostly alone.
This is still an experiment. If it earns your approval, it becomes a permanent part of the catalogue, proof that leather can be an everyday material, not an occasional luxury, and accessible enough to belong in any home or office.

This is Nubuck Buffalo — river buffalo hide buffed to a surface that asks to be touched, and remembered.
Sourced from river buffalo and tanned through a combination belting process, Nubuck Buffalo carries the same structural foundation as its counterparts: 8 oz., 3.2mm, stiff in temper, and built to hold its form without compromise. But where other finishes catch light and develop sheen, nubuck does something entirely different. It absorbs it.
The buffing process works the top-grain surface to a soft, velvety matte that sits quietly on a desk or in a hand; no gloss, no shine, no distraction. Just a clean, even texture that feels considered from every angle. Color sits flat and deep across the entire surface, giving nubuck pieces a restrained, almost architectural presence that pairs effortlessly with any environment.
It is the most understated finish in the collection, and perhaps the most quietly confident.
